Connect with people and events in real time
What is VibesX?
VibesX is a location-based social discovery platform designed to help people discover spontaneous plans, events, and gatherings happening around them. It empowers users to explore their local scene and connect with real-time community vibes without walled gates.
📍 Live Map & Radar
Explore an interactive map showing activities, meetups, and plans in your immediate area. Filter by category, timing, and proximity.
⚡ Ephemeral Flares & Vibes
Post scheduled events or fast short-lived signals ("Flares") that expire automatically to guarantee that all information remains fresh and relevant.
💬 Secure Chat & Community
Coordinate with participants in each event chat without exposing personal contact details or phone numbers.
🛡️ Data Transparency & Google OAuth Scopes Disclosure
In accordance with Google Cloud OAuth verification requirements, we transparently disclose how user data is requested and used:
-
Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0): VibesX only requests standard identity scopes (
openid, userinfo.email, anduserinfo.profile). This information is used strictly to authenticate your account and establish your basic profile (display name, email, avatar). We never access your private emails, Google Drive files, personal contacts, or Google Calendars. - Device Location (GPS): Used exclusively in the foreground while actively running the app to calculate proximity to nearby events and place your posts on the map. Your real-time GPS coordinates are never broadcast publicly to other users and no background tracking occurs.
- Photos & Camera (Optional): Only requested when you choose to attach photos/videos to an event or scan a QR code. User media is never sold to third parties.
Public Guest Access (No Login Required)
VibesX provides a guest mode directly from the welcome screen. Account creation is not required to explore the map and view public events.
